For the Club Sandwich:
- 12 slices of soft bread
- 4 slices of bacon or smoked ham
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce
- 1 small pot of goat cheese (like Chavroux)
- 1 pumpkin
Instructions
For the Ketchup:
- Chop the tomatoes, onions, and garlic into large chunks.
- Sauté the onions and garlic in a bit of olive oil.
- Add in the tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, and spices, then let simmer on low heat for 1 hour.
- Blend the mixture until smooth and then strain it through a sieve.
- Store the homemade ketchup in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
For the Club Sandwich:
Required Equipment: A Mickey-shaped cookie cutter (available at Disneyland Paris).
- Halve the pumpkin, remove the seeds, and steam it for 6 minutes.
- Use the cookie cutter to create Mickey-shaped pieces.
- Repeat this process with the salad, bread, and bacon.
- Cook the bacon on a baking sheet in the oven at 180°C (356°F) for 5 minutes, or grill in a pan.
- Toast the bread.
- Assemble the sandwiches as shown in the photo: spread goat cheese on a slice of bread, add the pumpkin, a little ketchup, lettuce, and bacon, then top it off with another slice of bread.
