- Total Time: 35 minutes
- Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 275 grams of all-purpose flour
- 750 milliliters of milk
- 50 grams of butter (plus extra for cooking)
- 4 Jonagold apples
- 3 to 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, use an immersion blender to mix the eggs and sugar. Add the vanilla extract. Gradually incorporate the flour and milk alternately until well combined. Finally, add the melted butter and mix until smooth.
- Heat a nonstick skillet with a small amount of butter. Once melted, pour a ladleful of batter into the skillet, swirling to cover the bottom.
- Cook until the underside is golden brown, then flip the crêpe and cook the other side until golden.
- While the crêpes are cooking, peel and core the apples. Cut them into quarters and then slice each quarter into smaller pieces approximately 1cm thick.
- In a separate skillet, melt additional butter and sauté the apple pieces for 3 to 4 minutes until they are golden brown.
- Serve the crêpes warm topped with sautéed apples and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
Notes
You can also add a hint of cinnamon or nutmeg for an extra flavor twist!
Recipe Tips
Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes before cooking for the best texture. This allows the flour to fully absorb the liquid, resulting in tender crêpes.
